A road trip to connect women in tech.
We’re conducting a Canada-wide fact-finding mission to better understand the experiences of women in technology, and to promote vibrant women in tech communities across the country.
We are a truly unique organization made up of 140+ outstanding women in tech. The women leading this group are passionate and driven; they are professionals from diverse backgrounds in marketing and STEM who are dedicated to actively promoting, empowering, and celebrating women of all ages in tech.
We have organized over 22 events in seven cities across North America this year alone, and have given away $50,000 in tech scholarships to young women. We believe that by creating inclusive, collaborative, and diverse communities, we will be better equipped to take on new challenges that are thrown our way.
This fall, Women in Tech (WinTech) is conducting a Canada-wide fact-finding mission to better understand the experiences of women in technology, and to promote vibrant women in tech communities across the country.
- drive from BC to Newfoundland over a two month period
- organize 50 town halls across the country
- reach over 10,000 people from diverse communities
- talk to stakeholders from various sectors and backgrounds
- create a National Report and set of playbooks
- share our story and findings through various mediums
We’ve launched our blog! Our Canadian WinTech Resource Series helps navigate the tech ecosystem in Canada by curating resources to help and support women in tech.
The first installation focuses on Prince George. Prince George’s growing economy offers great opportunities for women to get involved in the tech sector.
